Zoë Hitchen

Zoë Hitchen began her career as a photographer with Bury Football Club. In 2019, she curated “We Are Bury,” an exhibition highlighting football’s central role in the community. This exhibition provided a platform for Bury FC fans who lost their club due to mismanagement by the owners and failings of the EFL. Zoë also collaborated with Jacqui McAssey, founder of GIRLFANS zine, to document a special edition focusing on the Bury female fan story. 

Throughout her career, Zoë has taken on various roles, including First Photographic Assistant to Nick Knight at SHOWstudio.com in London. She led Knight’s team on international fashion editorial and advertising campaigns, including Lady Gaga’s award-winning music video “Born This Way” (2011) and the accompanying album artwork. 

In recent years, Zoë has lectured at several UK universities, mentoring the next generation of international creative talent while managing her own photography and filmmaking business. A typical week now sees her working with design and engineering teams at the BBC.
